ASPEN REAL ESTATE - The University of Colorado Medical School’s ability to sell Aspen’s Given Institute property for $20 million hinges on whether or not the property could be subdivided, according to local real estate brokers. Elizabeth Paepcke founded the Given Institute 37 years ago, giving the land to the University of Colorado to establish a medical think tank. The building was built with donations and is administered by the University of Colorado School of Medicine.The university is now looking to sell the building and its 2.25-acre lot overlooking Hallam Lake. It would also accept a similarly sized gift to keep the facility running.
