Pitkin County November Property Sales Still Slow, ADN

With just one month left to tally, Pitkin County real estate sales are nearly half of what they were last year in terms of dollar volume, according to a report by Land Title Guarantee Company.Through November, transactions are actually off 46 percent in dollar volume, which is consistent with what local experts have been forecasting lately, and also consistent with the percentage decline as of the end of October. The number of transactions is down 38 percent through November.November 2007 saw $108 million in real estate sales, while last month had $65 million. This November’s decline wasn’t as bad as the two prior months, whose dollar volumes were down more than half over the previous year.
