ASPEN REAL ESTATE - The four-story North of Nell condo building at the base of Aspen Mountain, which was scorned by most AspenitesT as “monolithic” and “monotonous” when it opened in late 1968, now has a sleeker look after a nearly $6 million exterior remodel.“The whole idea was to break up the linear nature of the building,” Joe Raczak, general manager of the North of Nell condo-hotel. “It was a shoe box.”The remodel also included a new spacious entrance with double-glass doors off of Dean Street, just across from the recently completed Residences at Little Nell and a stroll away from the gondola plaza and The Little Nell hotel.
