Tim Estin mba, gri: Aspen Real Estate Broker
The Estin Report Mission: To shed intelligent and considered light on the exceptional world of Aspen real estate in a timely and consistent manner: to discuss market trends, real estate topics, developments and to present beautiful Aspen properties for sale and sold - all with a forthright and objective lens.
Aspen native, Tim Estin is a leading Aspen broker and belongs to Coldwell Banker's elite Previews Specialist top 1% global agents. Recently, he was presented with CB's highest honor, the International President's Premier Award, given to less than half of 1 percent of its 116,800 worldwide broker force for outstanding sales performance. Whether one is selling or buying a one-bedroom condo or a 100 acre ranch estate, his market expertise can make a tangible difference in achieving one's Aspen real estate goals.
Since 2006, he has published The Estin Report and blog, a sales, marketing and research platform for his listings and for Aspen Snowmass luxury real estate. With over 10,000 pages of present and archival Aspen real estate information, it is a primary resource for market and pricing information widely followed by sellers, buyers, attorneys, appraisers, brokers, bankers, RE consultants, valuation services, investment advisors, fund managers, land planners, developers, architects, builders, journalists and others.
Tim has contributed articles and comments on Aspen real estate in the Mountain Business Journal, Aspen Times, Aspen Daily News, Aspen Sojourner Magazine, Aspen Magazine, Denver Post, Rocky Mountain News, Aspen Business Journal, LuxuryRealEstate.com, NewWest.net, Trulia, Merrill Lynch Private Banking Luxury Real Estate, Bloomberg, WSJ and interviews on NPR/Colorado Public Radio and KAJX/Aspen Public Radio.
He has served in various positions for the Aspen Board of Realtors (ABOR) communicating governmental policies, political issues, land use code changes and their consequences directly to the Aspen real estate community and beyond:
o Liaison to the City of Aspen, CO - Aspen Board of Realtors
o Liaison for the 2006 Pitkin County Land Use Code Rewrite approved after a three year review - Aspen Board of Realtors
o Pitkin County Technical Advisory Committee/Land Use Code advising the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) and P&Z - the single broker representative selected from the 700 member Aspen Board of Realtors by the Pitkin County Board of County Commissioners.
Tim has long-time family roots in Aspen with an insider's connection to the community - it's people, networks, geography and history. He learned to ski before he could walk and went to elementary school at the Yellow Brick in Aspen's Historic West End. In early college, he was an architect's apprentice for Fritz Benedict, his mentor, friend and Aspen's noted architect for whom the Aspen Music Festival Benedict Tent is named. Tim was one of the founding directors of the 10th Mountain Division Hut Association between Aspen and Vail (see Peter Estin Hut section), and he was a consultant/market analyst for Sno-engineering, Inc., now SE Group, the well-known mountain resort planning & consulting firm then based in Aspen and Lyme, NH.
He graduated with a BA in political economics from Colorado College and holds an MBA from Boston University Graduate School of Management.
