ASPEN PITKIN COUNTY REAL ESTATE, CARBONDALE — Town trustees voted to uphold their support of a controversial land swap that would give billionaire retailer Leslie Wexner a chunk of land at the base of Mount Sopris for his Two Shoes Ranch in exchange for putting into public hands the Sutey ranch behind the popular Red Hill mountain biking playground.Trustees voted 6-1 to reiterate their previous letter of support and add a second letter backing a new compromise plan that offers more protections for the land.
