Last year, neighbors in the Stillwater Ranch homeowners association, of which the Silver Lining Ranch is a part, had indicated they planned to sue to stop the sale to Jewish Resource Center Chabad Aspen

ASPEN REAL ESTATE – The Silver Lining Ranch property, which was at one time set to become the new home of the Jewish Resource Center Chabad Aspen, is under contract to an individual who intends to use the ranch as a private home. The impending sale appears to bring a long saga to a close. Jaeger, who became a nun after her tennis career, founded the Silver Lining Ranch in the late 1990s as a getaway for terminally ill children. Citing cost concerns, Jaeger moved her foundation’s operation to Durango a few years ago and looked for a buyer for her Aspen property, the sale of which she said was crucial to the financial health of her foundation. In 2007, Jaeger hoped to sell the ranch as a single-family home, but Aspen City Council wanted to see a nonprofit remain on the land.
