ASPEN REAL ESTATE – For the second time in as many months, the foreclosure date for Snowmass Base Village has been pushed back.Originally set for Nov. 18, and then re-set for Dec. 15, the foreclosure sale has now been rescheduled for noon on Jan. 26 on the steps of the Pitkin County courthouse in Aspen. The delays are the result of the parties involved wanting to make sure that everything is in order, according to Jim DeFrancia of Lowe Enterprises, the court-appointed receiver for the project through a Lowe subsidiary called Destination Services Snowmass. One item DeFrancia mentioned that attorneys were still working on were mechanic’s liens, which are typically filed by contractors who have not yet been paid for work completed.
