The buyer of a $43 million mansion above Aspen — the most expensive home sale in the United States so far this year — has been identified as fund manager Lewis Sanders. He is the person behind the limited liability corporation, 421 Willoughby Investors, that bought the 11-bedroom mountain palace in a head-turning transaction recorded here last week, according to three real estate brokers who requested anonymity because they were not involved in the transaction and are not authorized to speak about it.
