New York and California are usually the leaders in producing and losing millionaires.But a new U.S. Metro Wealth Index by Capgemini (which does the World Wealth Report) suggests that on a percentage basis, some smaller cities were hit harder in 2008…Of course, on a real-number basis, New York still takes the cake when it comes to losing millionaires. The New York metro area lost 15,189 millionaires, leaving it with a mere 561,000 millionaires at the end of 2008.
