A number of donors and supporters of Aspen nonprofit organizations are on a list of apparent investors and customers of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC, which has been charged by federal officials in a multi-billion dollar Ponzi scheme. Donors to the Aspen Community Foundation, Aspen Music Festival and School, the Aspen Institute, Aspen Art Museum, Anderson Ranch Arts Center, Aspen Valley Medical Foundation, Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, Aspen Writers Foundation, Aspen Country Day School, Aspen Public Radio and other nonprofits appear on the list of Madoff customers released Wednesday from U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Manhattan (see related story).
