Plans for a 56 unit low income housing complex along the Highway 82 Basalt Exit corridor are being finalized as the Town of Basalt and Pitkin County Commissioners agreed on public participation in the 99-year leasing of the development site to a private partner, RealAmerica Development LLC.

The RealAmerica Development, LLC building site is adjacent to Stubbies Restaurant in Basalt, CO just off the main Highway 82 Basalt exit. In this photo, Hwy 82 is on the left, the Roaring Fork River on the right and Stubbies Restaurant is in the background of the foundation. The foundation is leftover from a recession aborted Basalt hotel development planned in 2006/2007. two affordable housing units, or 48,000 sq ft, on empty land between Highway 82 and the Roaring Fork River next to Stubbies bar, at the entry to Basalt.
