Subject: Heads up – plan to cite your data in a story

Hi Tim,  I hope you are well. I wanted to reach out to give you a heads up that I plan to cite your data in an upcoming article. I’ve been tracking the auction of Bill Koch’s Aspen property, which is supposed to conclude today.

I found your 1H 2026 numbers really compelling, and I plan to include the following […] in my article.

If you are open to it, I’d love to speak early next week about the possibility of using your data to do a more in-depth, chart-driven story about Aspen. I can assure you that we would cite you and your report fully and accurately.

Thanks for considering. EB

The Estin Reports present a ’pure-play’ picture of free market residential sales activity in the Upper Roaring Fork Valley – as what happens in Aspen and Snowmass Village ripples down valley. (Not included: Brush Creek Village, Woody Creek, Old Snowmass. For those areas see the Monthly Snapshots Pgs 7 & 9 and Bi-annual reports Pgs 19 & 28) Property types are: single family homes, condos, townhomes, duplexes and residential vacant land at sold at prices over $250,000; off market sales over $10M are included to the extent possible; not included are fractionals, mobile, deed restricted and commercial properties. The source data is from the Aspen Glenwood MLS, Pitkin County Assessor, Pitkin County Clerk & Recorder. It is scrubbed to remove outliers and sales that the author believes are misleading. This information is deemed reliable but cannot be guaranteed.
